My Mea Culpa

Love_Like_Jesus_Hardcover_5-8_by_8-8

When I say I’m going to do something I like to do it, I like to follow through, according to Jesus’ words, “. . . let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.'” About a year ago I said I would send an ebook version of the new book Love Like Jesus to anyone who signed up for an email subscription with GodRunning.com. And I will. That hasn’t changed. It will come in the form of a PDF. But I also said I would publish the Love Like Jesus book in 2018, and that’s changed. My original intention was to self publish but after researching the options further, I’ve decided to go the traditional publishing route. I’ll share more about that as things progress. Meanwhile I hope you’ve enjoyed the content I’ve already shared, from the book, on God Running. For a limited time you can still see the Love Like Jesus book posts by clicking on the Love Like Jesus Book link under “CATEGORIES” in the side bar. When the book is published that option will no longer be available.

After I flopped around like a fish on the bank for two hours, I got up and started to get dressed so I could go for a walk. It was around 6 am and, at this time of year, still dark. That’s unusual for me. I often walk around a small lake near our house but I’m a late riser. I rarely walk before sunrise. So it felt a little weird when I stepped through the front door of our house into the darkness. Continue reading

People I Know Who Most Resemble Jesus: Hold Lightly

People like Jesus hold expectations lightly

I’ve noticed the people I know who most resemble Jesus, hold on to their expectations ever so lightly.

Remembering

“These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

–Jesus, John 14:25-26
