If you’re reading this blog post, it’s likely you’re in a regular rhythm of reading scripture and attending church, maybe you’re even attending a midweek Bible study–and that’s a good thing. But I just want to say:
Anytime you’re presented with the choice between studying God’s word and doing what Jesus said to do in God’s word, choose to do what Jesus said to do.
Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. Don’t be a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts.

Amen and amen again.
Thanks for the affirmation mom!
Thank you, you are right. I agree
Thanks for stopping by Achu.
I don’t think there is a choice, we can do both, its never ever, ever one or the other. its both, but for sure do not neglect to act out your faith that is the change of heart and life lived for God. If we are saved we should walk in our new life. Pure religion is to visit the widows and orphans. But it might have to be said, its not just to pat them on the back, its obviously so you can provide some relief.
I absolutely agree! We definitely should do both. What I’m referring to is a situation like this: https://godrunning.com/2018/06/16/love-like-jesus-even-if-it-disrupts-your-sabbath-chapter-23/
I drove by someone asking for money leaving Publix on Friday afternoon. I had some money in my wallet which is not always the case. I did nothing. I’m still sad that I did nothing. I should have taken action.
I’ve done the same Adam. Let’s pray for each other, that God helps us to be responsive to the promptings of His Holy Spirit.
