God Running is a place for anyone who wants to (or even anyone who wants to want to) love Jesus more deeply, follow Jesus more closely, and love people the way Jesus wants us to.
2025 Has Been an Adventure
We’re at the end of 2025 and it’s been an exciting year for me, here on the blog, and also concerning the Love Like Jesus book. But before I cover the new events from 2025, I want to take a moment to thank my family. Over the years, no one has contributed more to the blog and the Love Like Jesus book than my wife Kathy. Besides putting up with me writing for long hours at odd times, Kathy has proofread everything I’ve written more than all other contributors combined. And even more importantly, Kathy serves as a wonderful example of someone who genuinely follows Christ. She puts more energy into loving people than anyone I know. (Proverbs 18:22) And I also want to thank my son Gabe, for always being there for me when I have cyber-security questions, and Nate and Anastasia for their valuable input. Among my family members, last but not least is my sister Karla. She’s an amazing source of inspiration and encouragement to me. She’s my sister from the same mom and dad, and my sister in Christ too.
Also during 2025, we added some new team members who have really made a difference. If you’ve noticed any improvement in my writing recently, it’s probably because of my new editor, Wes Beyer. He has a background in journalism and philosophy, and some of what he adds to the blog is better than my original content! Mandy Elliot has helped with social media content, and Olivia Plas is the one who creates our God Running newsletter. These talented people have been a great blessing to me in 2025.
Finally, I’m excited about publishing the audio version of the Love Like Jesus book. It came out in May of 2025 and it’s beautifully narrated by the gifted and accomplished narrator Jonathan St. John. Even if you’ve already read the Love Like Jesus book, I hope you’ll give it a listen. Jonathan has a way of bringing the stories to life.
