The Practice of the Presence of God

Remember what I advised you to do: Think about God as often as you can, day and night, in everything you do. He is always with you. Just as you would be rude if you deserted a friend who was visiting you, why would you be disrespectful of God by abandoning His presence?

Do not forget Him! Think of Him often. Adore Him ceaselessly. Live and die with Him. That is the real business of Christians. -Brother Lawrence

  1. It’s so easy to stray off this Christian path, so unfair to also run back to God every time things seem to go bad.. Thanks for the awesome message to remind me what really matters in life! I’ll be making it my daily mission to put God first in every situation and every second of every day! How far off the path I have strayed..

    • Nico, I’m glad to hear you decided to pursue Jesus Christ anew. Of course the Bible is the most important to read but I also recommend the book in this post, The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence. For some of us it was a life changer. You have the support of my prayers in your pursuit of our God! Please pray for me too, that He will always draw me closer to Him and that He will bless me with His Holy Spirit.

      Your brother,

      Kurt

      • Dear Kurt

Thank you so much for the reply, had the strangest goosebumps while reading it. I know God is present and looking forward to the commitment I have made. I’ll definitely read the book you suggested, quite excited! You will be in my prayers and also hope your blogs will draw more people closer to Christ.

        Thanks again!

        Nico

  2. Thanks for this call not to forget the Lord. As I was thinking about this, my thoughts also went to another thought – Though we often forget Him, He never forgets us. May the thought that He always remembers us encourage us to remember Him more often. God bless you and make you a blessing to others.
