Like you, whenever I look at my phone or my TV I see news about COVID-19. The reason it’s such a big deal is because every 100 years or so the world experiences a pandemic like the Spanish flu. That flu infected 500 million people and anywhere from 17 million to 50 million people died.
No one knew what was killing them. There were theories, crazy theories. One of my favorite NBA players shares about one of my all time favorite books. In this short video clip Damian Lillard shares about how he has a book with him at all times, and, the last book he read was Everybody Always by Bob Goff. He makes some interesting comments about what he read. Hope you enjoy the video half as much as I did. (I start the video at 6:43 to go directly to Dame’s comments about Everybody Always.)

“Control of your life is like energy. It can’t be destroyed, it can only be transferred from one place to another. If you don’t learn self discipline and self control, you’ll forfeit control of yourself, and someone else will control your life for you.”
My friend Josh Mathewson said those words after reading the first chapter of Drew Dyck’s excellent book, Your Future Self Will Thank You.
